Frostburg, MD – Penn State Harrisburg could not recover from a 12 point halftime deficit despite four Lions reaching double figures in scoring. Trent Thomas led the Lions in scoring with 20 points while shooting 80% from behind the three-point line. Khalil Williams also had another good outing scoring 15 points while gathering 9 rebounds. Anthony Bennett Jr. and Gbolahan Nelson each added 12 points as well.

How it Happened:
Both teams traded the lead back and forth through the first ten minutes of competition. The Lions got early three-point baskets from Ibn-Haneef Nelson and Anthony Bennett Jr. to take a 15-11 lead. The Bobcats would use three-point shooting of their own to close the half on a 17-7 run to take a 12 point lead into halftime.
The Lions would open the second half with nine straight points to cut the deficit to one when Gbolahan Alliyu knocked down a jump shot. Bennett Jr would later tie the game at 41 with a jump shot of his own. The Bobcats would adjust and once again pull away from the Lions building a nine point advantage. Trent Thomas tried to rally the Lions late by knocking down two three-pointers and drawing a foul on a third three-point try that lead to three free throws. The Bobcats shot free throw well down the stretch preventing the Lions from completing their comeback attempt.
