White Leads Harrisburg to Tip-Off Tournament Win

Middletown, Pa.-  The Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team defeated TCNJ this afternoon to win the 2016 Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Tournament. The Lion's beat New Rochelle yesterday afternoon in the first round. Today, Khalil White led the Blue and White with 33 points as the Lion's went on to win 74-68.

-Penn State Harrisburg jumped out to an early 13-4 lead after the first five minutes thanks to an impressive effort by Khalil White. White scored all of the Lion's first thirteen points

-Jazmon Harris and John Ukpaiama added four more points to Harrisburg's lead heading into the final seven minutes of play

-The Lion's led the visitors 37-26 heading into halftime. White led the Blue and White with a season high total of 22 points in the first half alone

-TCNJ went on an 11 point run in the second half to bring the game only seven points behind Harrisburg, 47-40

-With only five minutes to go Harrisburg led by only three points

-Kahlil Williams put Harrisburg back on track by sinking two straight layups to put Harrisburg on top at 62-57

-White sank his final three of the day to give Harrisburg an 11 point lead

-Marquise Daniels secured the Lion's win with 6 straight free throws to give the Blue and White the win
