Harrisburg Falls in Last Regular Season Road Game

Dover, DE- Wednesday February 17th, after a difficult loss on Saturday to St. Mary's (Md.) tonight the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team looked to get a win on the road against Wesley. The Lions stayed strong throughout the first half but struggled to slow down the Wolverines in the second, Harrisburg fell 73-52.

The Lions started the game off with an early lead against the Wolverines. Austin Chimuma (Bowie, Md. / Annapolis Area Christian) put the Lions ahead by five with his first basket of the night where he drew the foul and went on to sink his free throw. Wesley found their momentum with a 9-0 run in the next five minutes. Kahlil Williams (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) fought through the paint to tie the game up at 12 with 10:02 to go. As the first half progressed, the home team pulled ahead 22-16 with six minutes left. Arick Sodini (Manalapan, N.J. / St. John Vianney) knocked down a three to bring Harrisburg only three points behind. Wesley responded with their second 6-0 of the half.  Gbolahan Alliyu (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) hit two baskets before the end of the half to put Harrisburg within six points of the Wolverines.
 

Wesley came out hot in the second half by hitting four three pointers in the first three minutes, giving them a 16 point lead. The Wolverines continued to control the game as the second half progressed. Harrisburg was able to bring the game within 15 points of the home team but struggled to slow down Wesley's momentum. Alliyu led for the Lions with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

 Penn State Harrisburg will host Mary Washington on Saturday February 20th. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm. It will be the men's final regular season game as well as Senior day.
