Lions Fall to Salisbury

Middletown, Pa.- Monday February 1st, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team faced Salisbury for the second time this season. Salisbury got an early lead on the Lions, making it difficult for Harrisburg to catch back up. The Sea Gulls went on to win 82-56.

Salisbury started the game off with 10 straight points against the Lions. Senior Jazmon Harris (Baltimore, Md. / Patterson) sank his first three of the day in the fifth minute to get Harrisburg back on track. The Sea Gulls responded with an eleven point run before Harris hit his second three to slow Salisbury down. Gbolahan Alliyu (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) stepped up with his first dunk of the night with 9:38 to go in the first half. Kahlil Williams (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) drove through the paint for a bucket to stop the visitors six point run. Harrisburg trailed at the half, 46-28.
 
Salisbury continued to pull ahead as the second half got underway. Harrisburg was able to bring the game within 18 points of the visitors but struggled to get points on the board. Although Harrisburg trailed for the remainder of the game, they never gave up and continued to put up a fight. Jourdon Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Harris led for the Lions with 13 points each.
 
Penn State Harrisburg heads to Frostburg State on Wednesday February 3rd. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 pm.
