Tyler Shank Name CAC Golfer of the Week

The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team started their spring season today among some solid competition at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational.  The Lions did well as a team earning a 5th place finish while the story of the night was Tyler Shank's (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area)individual tournament win.

Shank is only a freshman, but he is already leading by example on the Lions young squad consisting of only two upper classmen.   Saturday at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational which was played at the Bridges Golf Club, Shank won his first collegiate tournament of his career.  It was so close it took a tiebreaker to be named champion out of the 62 participants. His plus frou round, 76 was not only good enough to earn him the tournament win; Shank was also selected as the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Golfer of the week for his impressive play.
