July 27, 2016 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #5 Golf Finishes Third and Three Earn All-Conference Honors The Penn State Harrisburg golf team finished third overall in the 2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) golf championships held by Christopher Newport. A trio of Penn State Harrisburg golfers were repeat All-CAC selections - senior Tyler Massar, sophomore Keith Miller, and junior Tyler Shank - with all three earning second-team honors. Massar claimed his second-straight second team award, Miller was on the first team in 2015, and Shank earned All-CAC honors for the third time.
July 25, 2016 Angela Burkett Named Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg athletics continues to build and improve their program from year to year and today’s hiring announcement continues this positive trend for the Lions in 2016. Angela Burkett has been named the Penn State Harrisburg women’s volleyball head coach. The Lions were a competitive team in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) this past season, but in 2016 she will focus on continued improvement and plans to put Penn State Harrisburg in a position to do more than just compete.
July 13, 2016 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #6 Men's Basketball Wins Tip-Off Tournament On Sunday November 15th, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team defeated Lebanon Valley to win Harrisburg’s Tip-Off Tournament for the first time in school history.
June 29, 2016 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #7 Men's Baseball Knocks off Four Ranked Opponents Throughout the baseball season the CAC proved why they are looked upon as one of the best if not the best conference in division III for baseball. The CAC had four teams ranked in the top 25 through the year including two teams in the top ten during the course of the year. The Lions beat every team in the CAC at least once throughout the course of the year including all four teams ranked in the top 25: Frostburg State, Salisbury, Christopher Newport, and Mary Washington.

Athletes Of The Week

Cameron Yon - Men's Track and FieldYon took home his first individual CAC Outdoor Championship this past weekend as he won the men's discus throw. he threw a little over 163 feet (49.69 Meters) to take home first place as well as qualifying him for the ECAC Outdoor Championships held on May 18th and 19th. Yon will be in action again this week when he travels to compete in the Penn Relay's with teams from around the country.
Ashley Williams - Women's Track and FieldWilliams claimed her 2nd individual CAC title this past weekend as she won the 100 meter hurdles running the event in a time of 14.39 seconds. Williams will look towards the ECAC Outdoor Championships to lower her time to qualify for the NCAA Championships in late March.
