Sports Medicine Department: Visiting Team Information

The sports medicine room will be open approximately two hours prior to competition and will remain open for 30-60 minutes after completion.  Our sports medicine facility is located on the first floor of the Capital Union Building (CUB).   

 

During concurrent events at Penn State Harrisburg, the athletic trainer will be on-site or within a four-minute response via cell phone contact.

The following services will be available upon your visit:

  1. Water and cups
  2. Injury ice and bags
  3. Modalities: whirlpool, hydrocollator, electrical stimulation, ultrasound (on-campus events only)
  4. Emergency equipment, including AED, crutches and splint bag

 

If your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer:

  1. Notify the Penn State Harrisburg athletic trainer ahead of time via email or phone.
  2. Ensure that your team travels with the appropriate supplies for taping and wound care
  3. Send student-athlete insurance and contact information so that it may be available in the event of an emergency
