Seachrist Leads Lions at Penn State Harrisburg Invitational

Sophomore Rachel Seachrist (Allentown, Pa. / Salisbury) has been a bright spot for the lady lions cross country team this entire season.  Seachrist lead Harrisburg again Friday in their home meet finishing a team high 11th place.  The blue and white finished fourth and defeated their first team of the season.

Following up on Seachrist's 11th place finish, fellow sophomore Kaitlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa / Cedar Cliff) finished 17th for the lions.

Head coach Danielle Lynch seemed very happy with both her men's and women's team and individual performances Friday as she was quoted after the meet saying "I am very proud of our men and women for their performances individually and collectively today against hardy competition at our home course. Weather was perfect and there was a nice buzz in the air. We battled injury and illness all week and were down top two runners on both gender sides but the team rose and rallied to fight allowing our women to beat our first team of the season and our men battled well to place a very close third. We are excited to take on the competition at Lancaster Bible College next Saturday."

The women's cross country team will look to build on this success next Saturday at Lacaster Bible.
