How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg fell in its regular-season finale at Mary Washington in straight sets. The Lions were led offensively by Katelyn Hossler who had 10 kills and defensively by Kari Ammerman and Kerri Miller who each had seven digs.

The Lions struggled offensively early in each game, allowing the Eagles to build leads in each set. After dropping the first two sets, the Lions would respond to the early deficit in the third set. Trailing 6-0, the Blue & White would go on a 4-1 run sparked by a kill from Hossler and a service ace by Kerri Miller. Later in the set, a thunderous kill from Brittany Wolf would pull the Lions within one. The Eagles would respond by going on a 6-1 run to close out the set.
