Red Devils Prove Too Much for Lions

Red Devils Prove Too Much for Lions

Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Carlisle, Pa. to take on Dickinson College in a non-conference match up. The Lions fell to the Red Devils in four sets, 3-1.

In the first set both teams came out strong as they kept the score close throughout the opening set. But the Red Devils would find the answer taking the first set 22-25. The Lions would fight right back in set two. The Blue and White would do no wrong during the second set as they blocked and hit better than they did throughout the match. The Lions would win set two 25-14. With a tight third set that went to the Red Devils, the Lions would not find an answer in the fourth losing the match, three sets to one.

Brittany Wolf (Stewartstown, Pa. / Kennard-Dale), Melissa Orlandini (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin), and Rachale Hair (Newburg, Pa. / Big Spring) would lead the Lion's offense totaling a combined 23 kills, as Carley Lionetto (Pottsville, Pa. / Nativity BVM) would lead the defense with 20 digs.

The Lions will be in action next, tomorrow as they welcome Lebanon Valley for a home match up set to start at 7 P.M.
