Lions Lose Close Game on Day Two of Warrior Classic

Penn State Harrisburg finished up the second day of the Warrior Classic at Lycoming College. The Lions would fall in both matches on the day, losing to Dickinson in a heartbreaker 3-2 and Lycoming 3-0.

In the first match, the Lions came out swinging collecting 13 kills and taking the 1st set 25-22. After two sluggish sets losing the 2nd and 3rd 25-21 and 25-18 the Lions would bounce back hitting an impressive .346 as a team to take the 4th set 25-18 and force a deciding 5th set. As the teams kept it close early in the set, Dickinson would pull ahead 9-13 in a race to 15. The Lions would chip away at the lead before tying it up at 14. Dickinson would prove too much in the end taking the 5th set 14-16 and the match 3-2.

In the second match the Lions couldn't find their feet in a scorching hot gym as they fell to Lycoming in straight sets 25-13, 26-24, and 25-15.

Katelyn Hossler (Lebanon, Pa / Northern Lebanon) led the Lions with 19 kills and 9 digs on the day. Hossler would also be named to the All-Tournament Team as she totaled 29 kills and 18 digs for the tournament.

The Lions will take a few days off before returning back to action when they travel to Dickinson this upcoming Wednesday for a game set to start at 7 P.M.
