Penn State Harrisburg Ends Tough Season with Home Tri-Match

Middletown, Pa - Penn State Harrisburg fell twice in their final matches of the 2014 season Saturday November 1st.  They first lost to the Knights of Southern Virginia 3-0 before falling in thrilling fashion 3-2 to the visiting Lions of Penn State Abington.

In their first match of the day against CAC's second ranked team SVU, Harrisburg lost in three straight sets with scores of 25-9, 25-16, and 25-15.  Leading the way for the Harrisburg was Erin (Boiling Springs/ Boiling Springs) who anchored the defensive effort with six digs.

Penn State Harrisburg followed things up losing a heart breaker to Penn State Abington by a score of 3-2. 

They Lions lost by a set score of 28-26, 23-25, 17-25, 25-20, and 10-15 in there last regular season game of the year.  Leading the Lions was Goodyear who put together 11 digs in the match.  Also having a good game was Izabella D'Onofrio (Clarksboro, N.J./ Gloucester County) who lead the offense with eight kills on 16 attempts. 

With the last game in the books the Lions look to rebuild for next year after posting a 1-26 record overall this season.
