Sheaffer Leads Lions in Loss at Wesley

The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team started their conference play Wednesday against the Wesley Wolverines.  Unfortunately, things did not go as they hoped for as they lost the match in three straight sets.

The Lions started off strong in the first set but could not hold on and dropped the set 25-19. The blue and white were able to regain their momentum in sets two and three as the Wolverines dominated play winning the sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-9.

One bright spot for Harrisburg was junior Megan Sheaffer (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) who led the team with six kills and hitting .308 for the Lions.  She also led the team with three blocks on the night.

Penn State will be back in action Saturday versus Ursinus in a tri-match with Ursinus and McDaniel in Westminister, MD at McDaniel College.
