Harrisburg Misses Both in Tri-Meet with Penn College and Kings

Lebanon, Pa. The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team failed to come home with a win from their Tri-meet with the Penn and Kings College losing 3-0 in both contests.

Harrisburg started the day out facing the home squad Penn College.  In a three set victory the Wildcats defeated the Lions 25-16, 25-17, and 25-18.  Kiara Carter (Bronx, N.Y. / Milton Hershey) showed some strength at the net leading the team with five kills.

In game two, the Blue and White jumped on top early against Kings College.  The Lions built themselves a 12-3 lead in the first game; unfortunately they were not able to hold on to it and lost three straight sets 25-19, 25-9, and 25-9.

Erin Goodyear (Boiling Springs, Pa. / Boiling Springs) was solid from the defensive side leading the team with 10 digs over the course of the day.  Harrisburg will regroup to prepare for their road match at Dickinson Wednesday September 10th at 7:00 pm.
