Igwe Earns NEAC All-Conference Status

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – It was announced on Friday, Nov. 2 that Penn State Harrisburg student-athlete Chidere Igwe (West Orange, N.J. / West Orange) had been named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) women's volleyball all-conference third-team for her strong play as the Lions' middle hitter this past fall.

The junior appeared in more sets (102) than any other Penn State Harrisburg player and was the Blue and White's top offensive performer as evidenced by her team-high 153 kills.  Despite being called upon for her point-scoring ability, she also dug out 46 balls defensively and recorded a team-best 39 blocks.  Igwe amassed a .38 blocks per set average, a number good enough to rank her 13th overall in the conference.
