Lehman Earns Second Consecutive CAC Weekly Award

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – After turning in her second stellar effort in as many opportunities, with the most recent coming at Lehigh's Fast Times Before Finals meet over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Sarah Lehman has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row.

Just a week after a strong showing in the season opener, Lehman continued to impress in the jump events at the Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals meet on Saturday, Dec. 8. In a field that included NCAA Division I and Division II competitors, the sophomore was the highest Division III finisher in the triple jump, posting a top effort of 11.36 meters. The mark is currently good enough to rank her sixth in the nation in the event. The 2017-18 CAC Rookie of the Year was also strong in the long jump, finishing fourth thanks to a top leap of 5.36 meters. She also competed on the track in the 60m hurdles. The Mechanicsburg native's most-recent weekly accolade is her second consecutive conference honor.

Lehman and the rest of her Blue & White teammates will get an extended break to enjoy the holiday season before returning to action at St. Thomas Aquinas' Spartan Invitational on Friday, Jan. 11.
