SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's tennis team was narrowly defeated by Susquehanna in the team's fall finale on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 9.

The Lions (1-4) took one doubles contest from the hometown River Hawks (4-2), as Isabella Pizzelanti and Olivia Hitz defeated SU's Chelsea Kneedler and Anna Ream 8-3 in the No. 2 outing.

Breanna DeSantos worked hard for a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory over Julie Bramley in the No. 2 singles matchup, while Pizzelanti won her second match of the afternoon thanks to a 7-5, 6-1 decision against Ream in the No. 3 outing. Hitz joined Pizzelanti as Blue & White players to stay perfect on the day, battling for a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4) win over Isabella Scappaticci in the No. 4 contest.

Barring a rescheduling of a match with Elizabethtown, the fall portion of Penn State Harrisburg's 2021-22 schedule has come to an end. The Lions are set to return to action in the spring of 2022.
