Women's Tennis Falls to Arcadia In Fall Finale

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg finished up its 2018-19 fall season against Arcadia on Tuesday afternoon, falling 6-3 to the Knights at the Hoverter Tennis Complex.

 

The Lions (2-4) dropped a pair of decisions in doubles play, with Courtney Bennett and Elysse Mellott picking up the team's lone victory; a 9-7 win over Maeghan Myers and Laryssa Badulak in the No. 3 contest.

 

In singles action, the Blue & White's top two solo players emerged victorious. Sydney Nye, the squad's No. 1 performer, defeated Tess Weber 6-4, 6-3, while Maria Torre took care of Julia Paraboschi 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 2 contest.

 

Tuesday's match with the Knights was Harrisburg's final outing of the fall. The Lions are on hiatus until the team's annual spring break trip takes place in early March.
