Injuries Slowed Down Lions Against Juniata

Middletown, Pa. - With injury issues throughout their lineup, the Penn State Harrisburg Lions had a tough day on the court losing to Juniata 9-0.

Leading the Way for the Lions was Jessica Miller (Manheim, Pa./ Manheim Central). Miller had a strong showing at #1 singles, but in the end could not find an answer for Juniata, losing 6-2 and 6-1.

With the loss in singles, Miller was able to turn it around in her double match with partner Shawna Brandt (Jonestown, Pa/ Northern Lebanon) to put up a fight against Juniata. Miller and Brandt battled hard taking the match into a tiebreaker. The Lions fought hard in the tiebreaker before falling 9-8(7-1).

The Lady Lions will be in action next, tomorrow April 3rd when Mary Washington comes to town for their CAC conference match starting at 4 p.m.
