Hilton Head S.C. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team finished their four day road trip facing off against the Ithaca Bombers . Depite the 9-0 defeat, the women are headed home with some well needed matches as they prepare for Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play.
The Lions Laura Lin () came the closest to getting Harrisburg on the board with her 6-2 and 6-3 loss at the #4 spot. Joyce Cheng also got on the board with her two wins, but the rest of the Blue and White were shut out in singles.
Harrisburg did better in doubles play with Theodora Avramidis/ Stephanie Harnden and Morgan Acker/Lin both forcing additional games. The Lions had a tough trip while gaining valuable experience and spending plenty of time bonding as a team.
Penn State Harrisburg gets a few days off and before hosting formal NEAC rival Penn State Berks Tuesday March 18th at 3:30.
