The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team is enjoying the weather down south while they participated in their second day of thier tennis tournament in Hilton Head South Carolina. Unfortunately, leaving a snow filled court to jump directly into competition has been a difficult one.
Harrisburg fell to Gordon College 9-0 on Tuesday March 11th. Senior #1 player Theodora Avramidis (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon Township) and # 4 Laura lin (Palmyra, Pa. / Susquehanna Township) won a few games in their singles constes, but as a whole the Lions were outmatched acroos the board. In doubles, the #1 pair of Avramidis/ Stephanie Harnden(Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) nd #2 pair of Lin/ Morgan Acker(Annville, Pa. / Annville-Cleona) both fell with 8-2 losses.
The Lions will hope to rebound Wednesday when they face off against the Gettysburg University.
