Women's Soccer Earns USC Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) has honored Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer program with the organization's 2017-18 College Team Academic Award.

 

Under head coach Adam Clay, the Lions are one of 484 women's teams across NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III to earn the academic accolade. To be eligible for the USC honor, a team must earn a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2017-18 academic and athletic year. As a unit, the Blue & White posted a combined GPA of 3.2 during 2017-18.

 

Harrisburg saw 16 players in Sheila Ansary, Kayla Arnold, Rachel Asper, Danielle Bressler, Elizabeth Clippinger, Kylie Courtney, Romina Dichio, Eliza Grim, Mackenzie Haladay, Erica Hile, Katie Kosovac, Jenna Mdarhri-Alaoui, Lauryn Six, Bailey Smith, Christina Smith and Haley Vavrek named to the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) 2017-18 All-Academic Team for their success in the classroom.

 

The Lions return to action when they host conference foe Salisbury on Saturday afternoon.
