  • Lions Coaching Staff Goes Behind the Scenes at New Zealand Women's National Team World Cup Training

    Penn State Harrisburg (PSH) Women's Head Coach Adam Clay and Assistant Coach Rudy Grubesky, had the opportunity to observe a training session conducted by New Zealand (NZ) Women’s National Team Head Coach Tom Sermanni and his staff as they prepared the Football Ferns for a behind-closed-doors match with Mexico. Coach Sermanni has an extensive coaching background that includes leading the women's national teams for the United States, Australia, and Canada.
  • Athletic Achievement Honored at 2019 Student-Athlete Award Ceremony

    Penn State Harrisburg held its 2019 Student-Athlete Award Ceremony on Sunday evening, April 28 at the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the Student Enrichment Center, awarding year-end accolades, team MVP honors and scholar-athlete award recognition as part of the celebration of the College’s athletic achievement from the 2018-19 season.
  • Penn State Harrisburg Summer Camp Registration Now Open

    Penn State Harrisburg has announced that a number of the school’s athletic programs will again be hosting their annual summer camps, beginning in June. Registration for all nine camps is now open.

    The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team has rescheduled their original Winter ID Clinic to Saturday February 23rd, after a snow cancellation in January. The clinic is a great opportunity for potential student athletes to meet with the team/coaching staff, see the campus and experience a college level training session all in one day.

    Newport News, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team traveled to play the #9 ranked Christopher Newport University (CNU) Captains on Saturday September 29th.  The Lions took a first half lead thanks to Katie Kosovac who scored her first goal of the season.  CNU responded in the 65th minute to even the score at 1-1, in a game that would need an overtime period to determine a winner.

    Harrisburg, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team battled Widener to a scoreless draw. The Lions got an excellent effort from goal keeper Kayla Arnold who made 6 saves including two in overtime.

    The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team traveled to face off against an undefeated Penn College team on Wednesday September 19th.  The Wildcats came into the game with a perfect 4-0 record, while the Lions won three straight the previous week.  Both teams were hungry for another win and the intensity of the contest went for the full 90 minutes.  
  • Hemler Named CAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player Of The Week

    Hemler tallied three goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for the Lions. She opened the week with the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Lancaster Bible, before notching a goal and an assist in victories against Eastern (2-1) and Immaculata (3-0).

    Harrisburg, Pa. –  The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team picked up its third straight win defeating Immaculata University. The Lions Kaeleigh Smedley and Madison Hemler scored first half goals to get the Lions out an early lead. Rhyan Socash would add a goal early in the second half putting the game out of reach.

    Harrisburg, Pa. – Mackenzie Haladay’s overtime goal clinch the Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team win over Eastern University. Trailing 1-0 at the half, the Lions would tie the game when Rhyan Socash would draw a foul in the box, setting up Madison Hemler penalty kick goal.
  • Lions Use Strong Second Half To Defeat Chargers

    Harrisburg, Pa. – After a slow start, the Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer offense found its footing scoring three second half goals in route to a victory over Lancaster Bible. Madison Hemler, Romina Dichio, and Eden Haldeman all recorded their first goal of the season in the win.
  • Lions Suffer Heartbreak OT Loss at Susquehanna

    Selinsgrove Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team suffered a heartbreaking road loss to Susquehanna University on Saturday September 8th.  The Lions scored first, but a late goal by the River Hawks sent the game to overtime before claiming the exciting 2-1 win. 
  • Harrisburg Falls to Elizabethtown Second Half Surge

    Middletown, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team faced off against local rival Elizabethtown College on Wednesday September 5th. After a quality first half showing, the Lions struggled to overcome giving up the first goal of the day as the Blue Jays went on to a 3-0 win.

    Harrisburg, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Team fell to Dickinson College in its home opener, despite seven saves from Kayla Arnold. The Lions had several scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not recover from a first half goal by the Red Devil
  • Lions Down Rams In Season Opener

    Doylestown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team got their season off with a win, defeating Delaware Valley 2-0. Freshman Kaeleigh Smedley scored her first career goal in the 4th minute, scoring off a free kick from 18 yards out. Elizabeth Clippinger would quell any hopes of a late rally, scoring in the 83rd minute securing the victory.
  • Women’s Soccer Tabbed 7th in CAC Preseason Poll

    FREDERICKSBURG, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team was picked 7th in the CAC Preseason Poll. Two-time defending champion Christopher Newport was selected as the unanimous favorite to three-peat in the 2018.
