Penn State Harrisburg (PSH) Women's Head Coach Adam Clay and Assistant Coach Rudy Grubesky, had the opportunity to observe a training session conducted by New Zealand (NZ) Women’s National Team Head Coach Tom Sermanni and his staff as they prepared the Football Ferns for a behind-closed-doors match with Mexico. Coach Sermanni has an extensive coaching background that includes leading the women's national teams for the United States, Australia, and Canada.
Penn State Harrisburg held its 2019 Student-Athlete Award Ceremony on Sunday evening, April 28 at the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the Student Enrichment Center, awarding year-end accolades, team MVP honors and scholar-athlete award recognition as part of the celebration of the College’s athletic achievement from the 2018-19 season.

The Lions took a first half lead thanks to Katie Kosovac who scored her first goal of the season. CNU responded in the 65th minute to even the score at 1-1, in a game that would need an overtime period to determine a winner.

The Wildcats came into the game with a perfect 4-0 record, while the Lions won three straight the previous week. Freshman Kaeleigh Smedley scored her first career goal in the 4th minute, scoring off a free kick from 18 yards out. Elizabeth Clippinger would quell any hopes of a late rally, scoring in the 83rd minute securing the victory.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg Women’s Soccer team was picked 7th in the CAC Preseason Poll. Two-time defending champion Christopher Newport was selected as the unanimous favorite to three-peat in the 2018.
