Lady Lions Showed Quality in 1-0 Loss to Susquehanna

Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team had a quality performance Saturday September 10th against the Susquehanna River Hawks. Unfortunately, despite a nice Harrisburg team effort and a second half full of chances, Susquehanna's early 1-0 lead was enough to take home the lead.

The visitors were able to score their only goal of the game less than six minutes into the first half. Cassie Combs scored finished her first goal of the season off an assist from Alyssa Bolger. The River Hawks continued to test freshman Erica Jensen for the next ten minutes as she recorded two saves in the first half. Newcomers Elizabeth Clippinger and Danielle Bressler each registered a shot near the end of the first half as the Lion's fought to tie the game up.

Penn State Harrisburg had several quality chances in the second half but were unable to find the back of the net. The Lion's will travel to Elizabethtown College on Wednesday September 14th. Game time is scheduled for 4 pm.
