The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team struggled on the road Wednesday September 16th when they faced off against the #9 ranked team in the country The College of New Jersey Lions.
Harrisburg was definitely the underdog in the matchup as the home Lions came into the game without allowing a goal in their first four games of the season. It was more of the same today as TCNJ jumped on the Blue and White early scoring five first half goals.
The visiting Lions did produce a handful of quality counterattacking opportunities, but lacked any real conviction to play as a team in the difficult contest. Penn State Harrisburg will face another quality opponent on Friday September 18th when they face off against local rival Elizabethtown College set for a 4:00 pm kickoff.
