Naughton’s Offensive Output Earns Her League Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – It was announced Monday, Oct. 22 that Penn State Harrisburg's Lyndsay Naughton (Reading, Pa. / Reading Central Catholic) had been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the time period ending Sunday, Oct. 21.

The junior transfer had a big week offensively, scoring five goals in two games on just 11 shots.  In the Lions' 5-2 road win over Valley Forge Christian on Tuesday, Oct. 16, she netted the team's final two scores.  The Reading native followed it up on Saturday, Oct. 22 by recording a rare hat trick that included the game-winner in the Blue and White's 4-0 blanking of conference foe Penn State Abington.  Her five goals brought her team-leading scoring total to 16, good enough to place her fifth overall in the NEAC's rankings.
