How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg got off to a quick start and never looked back in the team's 81-28 victory at Trinity (D.C.) on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 10.

The Lions (2-0) were led by a returning Shanique Mattis. The senior poured in a game-high 20 points, including 12 tallies from 3-point territory, in her first action of the season. Laurel Amey and Symone Grant joined Mattis in the double-digit scoring category, with each player netting 11 points.

The Blue & White were aggressive out of the gate and seized control of the contest in the opening minutes en route to racking up a sizeable lead after the first quarter. From there, it was all Penn State Harrisburg.

Inside the Numbers

- Shanique Mattis scored a game-high 20 points for the Blue & White in her first action of the season.

- Laurel Amey and Symone Grant netted 11 points each.

- Anna Mahan continued the promising start to her collegiate career with nine tallies.

What They're Saying

"This win was a solid team effort and a great opportunity to get everyone involved," said Penn State Harrisburg head coach Ross Patrick. "We were also able to welcome Shanique (Mattis) back to the court after an early-season injury delayed her start to the season."

Who's Next?

The Lions return to the friendly confines of the Capital Union Building to host Cairn on Wednesday night, Nov. 14. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
