Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions gave a valiant effort against the Salisbury Seagulls on Saturday January 20th. After a tight first half with multiple lead changes, Salisbury finished the final five minutes with a 10-1 run to take a 31-24 lead into the half. The Seagulls were able to keep the momentum and a gain control in the second half on way to a 73-42 win. Janel Brown scored her 100th career 3-pointer midway through the first quarter and now is fifth in school history in made three-pointers.

How it Happened:
Four minutes into the game, Janel Brown knocked down a deep three-pointer to give her 100 career three-pointers made. Harrisburg started out strong, matching the visitor's basket for basket through the first 15 minutes of play. Unfortunately as the first half ended, the Seagulls used a 10-1 run to take a seven-point lead at the half.
Despite a valiant effort early on, the Lions struggled to find any rhythm in the second half. Salisbury on the other hand found their stride and played even stronger and with a very balanced scoring threat. The Seagulls had three players tie for high scorer with ten points each and had significant numbers from their bench.
