Salisbury, MD – Penn State Harrisburg once again could not overcome an early deficit and fell to Salisbury in CAC action. The Lions got a great effort off the bench from Briana Davis who scored a season high 17 points. Tessa Dolce continued her excellent season recording a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

How it Happened:

Another slow start hurt the Lions as Salisbury opened the game on an 18-2 run. Katelyn Kosovac knocked a three-pointer right before the end of the first quarter to get some momentum back for the Lions offense. The Blue & White would battle back in the second quarter knocking down four more three-pointers, with three of those coming from Briana Davis. Harrisburg went into halftime trailing by 10 points.

 

The Lions would make some halftime adjustments and storm out of the locker room on a 9-0 run. Four consecutive points from Tessa Dolce pulled Harrisburg within one point with 6:29 remaining in the third quarter. The Seagulls would respond rebuilding an 11-point lead. Janel Brown knocked a three-pointer with seconds remaining to end the quarter. Salisbury would regain momentum in the fourth quarter and prevent another rally by the Lions, winning 65-53.
