Dover, DE- The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team played a very physical game against the Wesley Wolverines on Wednesday January 11th. Kaitlyn Carmo led for Harrisburg with 23 points but Harrisburg struggled to close the game when needed, falling 71-67.

How It Happened:
-The Lion's struggled in the first quarter to find the basket as they were outscored 18-12 by the Wolverines. In the second quarter, the visitors started off with an 8-0 run before Harrisburg regrouped and began cut the home teams lead to 6.
-Tessa Dolce and Kaitlyn Carmo accounted for 11 of the Lion's 15 points in the second
-In the second half both teams found the basket for 18 points each while Wesley held on to their early 8 point lead
-Shanique Mattis and Alexis Nolan came out hot in the fourth quarter, sinking 8 straight points to bring the Lion's within three
-Harrisburg sank three straight three pointers with under three minutes to go to trail Wesley by 2 with 1:38 to go
-Wesley's lead earlier in the game proved to be too much for Harrisburg as they fell 71-67
-Kaitlyn Carmo led for the Lion's offensively with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Tessa Dolce posted 11 rebounds and 12 points of her own to add to Harrisburg's tally
