Annville, Pa.-  The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team defeated Penn State Altoona on Saturday November 19th in the consolation game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament hosted by Lebanon Valley College. Penn State Harrisburg has its strongest offensive performance yet, taking down Altoona 74-62

Game Highlights:

-Penn State Harrisburg came out strong in the first quarter, dominating Altoona 26-15. Shanique Mattis got things started early for Harrisburg with her first three of the afternoon in the first 30 seconds. Rachel Miller and Becca Bailey added to the Lion's early lead with a back to back layup and jump shop

-In the second quarter Harrisburg extended their lead to 32-19 thanks to an 11-0 run

-Jada Pettis scored 6 of her 12 points in the third quarter to extend Harrisburg's lead to 59-43

-Penn State Altoona put up a strong fight in the fourth, outscoring Harrisburg 19-15 but the Lion's early lead stood strong

Head coach Ross Patrick was happy with his team's performance, "Today our team played with great effort and intensity on defense that led to some easy transition opportunities, something we have struggled with in our previous games. Those conversations helped take some of the pressure offensively and allowed us to relax a little bit which led to better half court execution"
