The Lady Lions traveled to McDaniel Saturday November 15th to take on the Green Terror in their home tip-off tournament for both teams first games of the season. Unfortunately the Lions women's basketball team fell in its season opener to McDaniel College by a score of 79-47.
Leading the way for the Blue and White was sophomore Kaitlyn Carmo (Palmyra, Pa./ Palmyra Area) who was a rebound away from a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds in her first 2014 outing. Also playing well for the Lions was freshman Janel Brown (Gaithersburg, Md./ Magruder) who tied Carmo for the lead with her 11 points and 6 rebounds.
The Blue and White will face the Winner of Mt. St Vincent and Alvernia tomorrow in the Consolation game at the McDaniel Tournament.
