It was another great showing for the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany lions at the Bud Smitely invitational. The lions had two runners finishish in the top ten of a very competitive event. For the men it was super freshman Mekael Kassu. Kassu finished in sixth place, with a time of 18:16.5. He was the second fastest freshman at the the event behind only Jeffrey Campagna of LVC who won the event. Kassu kept an incredible 6 minute pace in the 5k race.
The women were also paced by a freshman phenom. Sephora Senestant ran her way to a tenth place finish, with an impressive time of 23:23.9. Senestant kept a pace of 7:32 just a minute off the lead.
