GRANTHAN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the 18^th Annual Messiah College Cross Country Invitational Saturday Morning.

In the men's race, Messiah took first place while Penn State Harrisburg finished fifth out of nine teams with a total time of 2:41:15 and a average time of 32:15. The Lions had two runners finish in the top 50 in Nick Sturm (Hamburg, Pa. / Hamburg) who finished 29^th with the time of 30:03 and Edgar Makimoto (Middleburg, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) who placed 46^th with the time of 32:06.

During the women's race, Gettysburg College took first place while Penn State Harrisburg took sixth place with the total time of 2:45:41 and the average time of 33:08. Alissha House (Crownpoint, N.M. / Thoreau) was the first of the Lions to finish with the time of 31:43, teammate Rachel Sechrist (Allentown, Pa. / Salisbury) wasn't too far behind as she finished with the time of 32:14.

The Lions will next compete against Salisbury on Saturday September 28^th, start time 10:30 am.
