Lions See Improvement at Spartan Track & Field Invitational

Staten Island, NY- Penn State Harrisburg competed against tough competition at the Spartan Track & Field Invitational, but reaped the rewards as several athletes improved on their top times and distances.

Jalil Clayton got the Lions led the Lions sprinters posting a time of 51.29 seconds in the 400 Meters. This time moved him into the top spot in the CAC. Kevin Afoakwah posted a solid time in the 800 Meters finishing with a time of 2:07.54 to move into tenth in the conference.

Alex White shined in the Men's High Jump breaking the school record with a jump of 2.00 meters. White qualified for the CAC and ECAC championships with the jump. White and Clayton now hold the top two spots in the CAC for the event.  Josiah Owhe moved into fifth in CAC competition in the Long Jump with a leap of 6.49 meters.

Finally Cameron Yon improved his marks in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw. Yon's shot put of 12.67 meters ranks him fifth in the CAC, while his weight throw of 14.39 meters places him third in the conference.
