Clayton and Yon Excel at ECAC Championships

Westfield, MA - Jalil Clayton and Cameron Yon represented the Penn State Harrisburg men's track and field team well at the ECAC Championships May 17th and 18th.  Clayton claimed first place in the 110 meter hurdles and third place in the 400 meter hurdles.  Yon took second place in the discuss, but his 53.54 meter toss was also good enough to send him to the NCAA Track and Field Championships May 25-27. 

Clayton had a tremendous meet, not only did he earn a first place medal in 110 meter hurdles, he also claimed a third place medal in the 400 meter and finished tenth in the high jump.  Alex White also competed in the high jump along side Clayton. 

Joseph Rebarchak earned a top ten finish by coming in eighth in the Javelin throw earning some crucial points for the team.  The Penn State Harrisburg men came in 13th overall in a field of 31 teams from around the Northeast region.  

Despite not claiming a the title, Cameron Yon took second place for the second straight year as just a sophomore.  His toss earned him the right to take his second trip to the NCAA Championships.  Last year Yon finished as the third best discuss tosser in the entirety of DIII.  He will be going into the event with confidence and experience, knowing he has a real shot to win a National title.
