White and Rebarchak Place First at CAC Championship

Fredericksburg, VA.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track teams traveled to Mary Washington University for the 2017 CAC Championship. Both sides placed seventh but the men's team had two first place finishes in the high jump and javelin.

Alex White: In the men's high jump, freshman Alexander White won with a distance of 1.90 meters. White's finish added ten points to the Lion's team score as well.  

Joseph Rebarchak: Rebarchak won the men's javelin with a throw of 52.34 meters. Rebarchak's win also help the men's team by adding ten points to the Lion's overall score of 52 points.  

Cameron Yon: Yon placed second in the men's discus with a throw of 48.32 meters  

Jalil Clayton: Clayton finished fifth in the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.78 seconds.

Josiah Owhe: In the men's 100 meter hurdles, Owhe placed sixth with a time of 11.48 seconds.

Head coach Danielle Lynch stated, "My staff and I are so proud of our teams efforts in a grueling and frigid conference championship. We fought hard and took some beneficial risks in our CAC battle. We continue to spread our wealth of points across many areas while we are building our base. Special shout outs to the CAC individual champions in freshman Alex White (men's high jump) and freshman Joseph Rebarchak (men's javelin). Our collective efforts were truly felt and we are excited to move forward to the ECAC Championship in a few weeks."

The men's side finished seventh out of eight teams with an overall score of 52 points while the women finished seventh with a total of three points.
