  • Yon Finishes Top Ten at NCAA Championships

    Geneva, OH- Cameron Yon brought his sophomore season to a close by placing 10th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships with a throw of 46.39 meters.

    Cameron Yon is attending his second consecutive NCAA Championships as just a sophomore. Last year he finished third place overall. This year, Yon is coming in with the 4th best distance in DIII and a real chance at a National Title. Yon is in the discus and is scheduled to throw at 1:00 PM on Thursday.   • Clayton and Yon Excel at ECAC Championships

    Westfield, MA - Jalil Clayton and Cameron Yon represented the Penn State Harrisburg men's track and field team well at the ECAC Championships May 17th and 18th. Clayton claimed first place in the 110 meter hurdles and third place in the 400 meter hurdles. Yon took second place in the discuss, but his 53.54 meter toss that was also good enough to send him to the NCAA Track and Field Championships May 25-27.
  • Men's Track and Field Travels to University Park

    State College, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg men’s track and field team sent four athletes to Penn State to try to improve their marks to qualify for the post season that is fast approaching. Competing for the lions at University Park was Derrick Young, Xavier Smith, Vladhimir Theophile, and Josiah Owhe. Owhe took 2nd in the long jump (6.40 Meters) and 3rd in the 100 meter Dash (11.21 sec) while Young finished right behind him in the Long jump with a 6.39 meter attempt. Smith and Theophile competed in the 400 meter dash where they finished 6th (51.32) and 7th (51.33) respectively. The Lions will travel to Allegheny University on Friday May 12th for another chance to improve their marks entering ECAC next week.
  • Three Lions claim All-CAC Honors

    Penn State Harrisburg claimed a trio of all-conference placings, including a pair of first-team awards from freshmen Alex White (high jump) and Joseph Rebarchak (javelin). Cameron Yon secured his second-straight All-CAC honor in the discus with a second-place finish after earning first-team honors last spring.

    Fredericksburg, VA.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track teams traveled to Mary Washington University for the 2017 CAC Championship. Both sides placed seventh but the men’s team had two first place finishes in the high jump and javelin.
  • Clayton Leads Men's Track and Field at Messiah Invitational

    Grantham, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track programs travelled to the 2017 Messiah Track and Field Invitational on Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th. The men placed fourth with a team score of 65 points while the women placed sixteenth with 10 points.
  • Penn State Harrisburg Men's Track and Field Place Second at Millersville Metrics

    Millersville, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams travled to Millersville University on Saturday April 1st for the 34th Annual Millersville Metrics. The men’s team finished second overall with several members claiming first place finishes and personal records. The women’s side finished in 20th place also with several personal bests.

    In a very competitive field of Division I, II and III athletes at the 33rd Annual Jim Taylor Invitational Outdoor Track and Field meet Saturday in Selinsgrove, the Penn State Harrisburg men's track and field team posted several top finishes to begin the 2017 outdoor season.
  • Young Places Fourth at ECAC Championship

    Ithaca, NY- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams travelled to Ithaca College over the weekend to participate in the ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Derrick Young placed fourth in the men’s heptathlon and Ashley Williams earned a first place finish in the women’s 60 meter hurdles.

    Selinsgrove, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track and field teams were back in action today as they competed in the Orange and Maroon Classic at Susquehanna University. The women’s side was led by Ashley Williams while the men’s side had several strong performances.
