Penn State Harrisburg Competes at Messiah Invitational

Mechanicsburg, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg Men's and Women's track teams traveled to compete in the Messiah Invitational on Friday April 11th and Saturday April 12th. 

Penn State Harrisburg men's track team was able to place 9th out of 18 teams that came to participate in this weekend's contest.  Leading the Lion men was Josiah Owhe (Westbury, N.Y. / Westbury) who finished 6th in the long jump with a 6.02 meter jump and 5th in the 100 meter dash running it in 11.34.   Also with a good day for the Blue and White was Jordan Fleetwood-Mack (Allentown, Pa / Dieruff) who placed 6th in the long jump with a 5.98 meter jump and 5th in the triple Jump with an 11.89 meter jump.

The Women's team finished the day 15th out of 17 teams.  Leading the Lady Lions on the track side  was Katlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) who finished 7th in the 200 meter dash running it in 26.50 seconds. Erin Goodyear (Boiling Springs, Pa. / Boiling Springs) was also strong finishing 12th out of 34 competitors in the discus by throwing a distance of 27.44 meters.

Harrisburg will be in action again this Saturday April 18th when they travel to Gettysburg College to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational.
