Mechanicsburg, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg Men's and Women's track teams traveled to compete in the Messiah Invitational on Friday April 11th and Saturday April 12th. 

Penn State Harrisburg men's track team was able to place 9^th out of 18 teams that came to participate in this weekend's contest.  Leading the Lion men was Josiah Owhe (Westbury, N.Y. / Westbury) who finished 6^th in the long jump with a 6.02 meter jump and 5^th in the 100 meter dash running it in 11.34.   Also with a good day for the Blue and White was Jordan Fleetwood-Mack (Allentown, Pa / Dieruff) who placed 6^th in the long jump with a 5.98 meter jump and 5^th in the triple Jump with an 11.89 meter jump.

The Women's team finished the day 15^th out of 17 teams.  Leading the Lady Lions on the track side  was Katlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) who finished 7^th in the 200 meter dash running it in 26.50 seconds. Erin Goodyear (Boiling Springs, Pa. / Boiling Springs) was also strong finishing 12^th out of 34 competitors in the discus by throwing a distance of 27.44 meters.

Harrisburg will be in action again this Saturday April 18^th when they travel to Gettysburg College to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational.
