Harrisburg Falls to the Eagles

Fredericksburg, Va.- Over the weekend the Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's tennis teams traveled to Mary Washington to take on the Eagles. The women fell 9-0, while the men also lost 6-0.

The women were defeated in each of their doubles matches, 8-0. In the singles portion, Harrisburg fell 6-0 in each of their matches. On the men's side, James Moore (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) and Tyler Cook (Harve de Grace, Md. / Harve de Grace) battled the Eagles in their doubles match. The partners lost but were able to get three points against the nationally-ranked Eagles. Close behind were Rafael Fernandes (Valinhos, Brazil / Colegio Visconde de Porto Seguro) and Austin Pokopec (York, Pa. / Central York) who fell 8-1. Cook played a strong singles match but fell after two games, 6-3, 6-2.
 

The women will travel to Frostburg State on March 26th for their second conference matchup of the season. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm. The men will head to Lebanon Valley on Wednesday March 23rd at 1 pm.
