Men's and Women's Tennis Finish out Fall Season

Selinsgrove, Pa.- The men's and women's tennis team's traveled to Susquehanna this afternoon to take on the Crusader's for their last match of the fall season. Both the men and women fell to the Crusaders after a challenging day. 

 Harrisburg was leading Susquehanna after the end of doubles due to a strong showing by two partners. Teammates Tyler Cook (Harve de Grace, Md. / Harve de Grace) and James Moore (Lewisburg, Pa / Lewisburg Area) easily slid past their opponents 8-3. Manley Wong (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) and Harry Kapenstein (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown High School) also defeated their opponents 8-2. For the singles matches, Rafael Fernandes (Valinhos, Brazil / Colegio Visconde de Porto Seguro) and Kapenstein were the only Lions to get a point. Overall, the men fell 5-4 to the Crusaders. 

 The women also gave a solid effort but were unable to come up with a victory. Susquehanna swept Harrisburg during the single's matches but Harrisburg was able to get a point during the doubles portion. Doubles partners Aiba Diaby (Bladensburg, MD / Bladensburg) and TianChang Luo (Kunming, Yunnan / Yunnan Experimental HS) were able to beat Eliza Griffin and Cassey Fox, 9-7. 

 Both the men and women will return to play in March for their regular season. For the fall season the women finished 2-3 overall while the men ended the season at 3-2.
