Lions Go Down Swinging in Opener

The Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team hosted a thrilling match against Goucher College Wednesday September 17th for thier first appearance of the year.  Unfortunately for the Lions, Goucher edged out a 5-4 win.

In front of a great crowd of supporters the men's tennis team displayed great emotion and skill in each match as they fell to Goucher 5-4 on the day. While the outcome was not what Harrisburg had in mind, the results do not display the great play from the athletes.

Each match seemed more intense than the last. Teamwork and individual skill were on full display as the lion's rallies and shots both frustrated and kept the Goucher players guessing. One of Harrisburg's newest members Victor Costa (Brazil) showed that he is ready to make an impact for Harrisburg as he played with great intensity and passion in each match.

The lions will look to bounce back in their next match at Alvernia September 18th.
