Hilton Head S.C. - The Penn State men's tennis team knew their final game of the four day round trip down south would be difficult against the Ithaca Bombers.  

The Lions Ben Leibig (Lebanon, Pa. / Lebanon) was able to pull out the win at the #2 spot taking down Ithaca's Justin Levine 6-2, 2-6, 10-6.  Vincent Lepore III (Chepachet, R.I. / Ponaganset) put up a stong effort in his second set but fell 6-4 without a win.  Unfortunately, they would not win another match depite effort given.  

The men did keep things tight in doubles play.  #1 Doubles of  Lepore/ Johnny Xue (Blue Hill, Maine / George Stevens Academic) came the closest with an 8-5 loss, while the pairing of Alex Koltun (Mount Gretna, Pa. / Cedar Crest)/ Chris Magee (Westminster, Md. / Manchester Valley) went down swinging 8-3 in the #2 spot. 

The men finished their spring break outing going 1-3 over the four days.  The experience and team bonding should prove important when they get home and start their  busy spring schedule.  

Harrisburg will host former NEAC rival Penn State Berks Tuesday March 18th at 3:30.
