Lions Blank Susquehanna; Improve to 2-0

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis practices and plays with the intensity that is usually reserved for more contact sports.  This intensity is now transfering into solid wins for the young squad.  Saturday, the Susqeuhanna University Crusader's found out in person what Lion tennis is all about.  

The Blue and White only had one other match heading into Satuday.   They faced Alvernia almost three weeks prior in what was their first win of the year 6-3.  Then they had a weekend at the ITA Tournament before finally getting to play together as a team again verse Susquehanna.  

Harrisburg started off strong and never looked back.  After winning alll six singles matches, the men did not let down at all and continued the aggressive play winning out in doubles as well.  Freshman Johnny Xue  (Blue Hill, Maine / George Stevens Academic) is on a roll early into this year and also took home a first place double's finish alongside Chris Magee (Westminster, Md. / Manchester Valley) at the ITA tourmanent.  Senior Vincent Lepore III (Chepachet, R.I. / Ponaganset) has been handling himself on the court getting the results the team needs as well as being a strong mentor to the many younger players on this year's squad.  

Harrisburg has two more matches this week before breaking down the nets for winter.  They Travel to Goucher tuesday for a 3:00 p.m. start followed by a home match to close things up verse Albright on Friday.
