How It Happened:

Battling temperatures in the 90's, the Lions used their depth to stay fresh play 24 different players throughout the course of the game. The Lions offense got on the scoreboard in the 39th minute when Ethan Hoover swung the ball wide to Creasy Lopez. Lopez played a ball across the box finding the feet of Alex Wardle who finished the opportunity, giving the Lions the lead.

In the second half the Lions would strike twice in 1:18 to take complete control of the game. In the 67th minute, a poor clear by the Chargers defense allowed Shammah Gahomera to play a ball in toward Joey Aman in the box. Aman would chest the ball, control it at his feet, and bury in the back of the net to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage. Moments later after a Charger's foul twenty yards from goal, Aman would take the free kick finding Toma Nichik in free in the box.
