Penn State Harrisburg Earns 5 All Conference Selections: Donnelly Wins Coach of the Year

After a fairy tale season for the Men's soccer team at Penn State Harrisburg, the Lions have earned five Capital Athletic Conference all-star selections along with head coach Seamus Donnelly winning the Coach of the Year award.

Aaron Kline (Lebanon, Pa/ Eastern Lebanon County) was selected to the CAC First team.  He led the scoring attack for the Lions scoring 8 goals, including 3 game winners in the 16 matches he played this season.  Kline is a junior playing his first season for Harrisburg.

Four other Blue and White men took second team all-conference honors. Alex Panuccio (Mechanicsburg, Pa/ Mechanicsburg Area) who was second on the team with 5 goals, Jon Willingham (Harrisburg, Pa/ Sci-Tech) Who was third on the team with 3 goals, which was very impressive considering he spent most of the season playing defense.  Finishing up the awards for Harrisburg are Michael Jones (Harrisburg, Pa/ Central Dauphin) who was the backbone of the Blue and White defense and Jonathan Vanaskie (Shamokin, Pa/ Shamokin Area) who also was a main stay on the back line for the Lions.

Head coach Seamus Donnelly received the CAC Coach of the Year award in just his third season with the team.  With a record of 3-13-1 last year Donnelly helped the team improve to a 13-5-1 record and a second place regular and post season finish after losing to Cristopher Newport in the Championship game.

The Lions still have hope for a title this year as they will finish their season as the #1 seed in the ECAC Men's Soccer South Championship starting Wednesday Nov. 12th where they will play the 8th seed Cabrini College at Hershey Park Stadium starting at 6:00 pm.
