Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg did not just make the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament, but has also earned themselves a #1 seed in the South division. The Lions will host the #8 seed Cabrini College Wednesday night at Hershey Park Stadium for a 6:00 kickoff.
The Lions who are 13-5-1 after a tough 3-1 loss in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) championship game Saturday November 8th to Christopher Newport. However, the Blue and White were able to knock down more than a few quality opponents this year including when they beat nationally ranked Salisbury and Christopher Newport during the regular season.
Leading the Lions this season has been Aaron Kline (Lebanon, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon County) who leads the team with 8 goals. Backstopping the team was Brandon Hoover (Lancaster, Pa. / Pequea Valley ) who finished 4th in the CAC with 80 saves and 3rd in the CAC with a Save Percentage of .816.
The Lions still have a very solid chance at winning a championship this year now that they have been accepted into the ECAC tournament. They will start things off as the #1 seed in the South division and will know by Sunday whether they will take a trip to the ECAC final four.
