Middletown, Pa.- The Lions came into today's game fresh off a very tough road win versus York College and had the 16th ranked team in the nation in their sights. 

Harrisburg displayed teamwork, toughness and most of all heart as they made a statement against the Salisbury Seagull's.  The Lions kept the visitors frustrated the entire game.   Every time Salisbury thought they had an opportunity, the Lions would be there to take it away.  Defenders Johnny Vanaskie (Shamokin, Pa. / Shamokin Area), Jon Willingham (Harrisburg, Pa. / Sci-Tech High) and Christian Schmoyer (Allentown, Pa. / Faith Christian Academy) kept the Salisbury attack on their heels and often on their backs as they sent a message every time a Salisbury forward thought he could get near their goal.

But Salisbury is ranked 16th in the country for a reason, they know how to score. Thankfully, goalkeeper Brandon Hoover (Lancaster, Pa. / Pequea Valley) was up for the challenge as he claimed nine saves on Salisbury's thirteen shots on goal.  Hoover made save after save as he controlled the box for the entire 90 minutes.  Shutting out any team is no easy task, but to shut out the 16th team in the nation. 

Both the teams and fans began to get restless as everybody knew something had to give between these two teams as the clock slowly counted down.  Eventually Harrisburg's Aaron Kline (Lebanon, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon County) and his golden boot delivered.  Late in the game, the Blue and White attack led by Alex West (Elizabethtown, Pa. / Lancaster Mennonite)was able to get into the Salisbury box and deliver a cross that would find Kline for his third goal of the week.  Saturday's win is their first over a nationally ranked opponent and sent message through the CAC that the Lions are here to stay.

Harrisburg will look to extend their most recent two game win streak when they travel to Wesley College Tuesday Oct. 14th.
