Harrisburg Blanks Abington

Middletown, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg Blanked Penn State Abington dominating the game by a score of 2-0 Wednesday night. 

Netting the goals for the Blue and White were Chase Vilga (Mount Joy, Pa/ Donegal) and Malik Cameron (Bronx, N.Y./ Cardinal Spellman) who both scored  in the second half with an assist on the second goal by Isaac Amedza (Philadelphia, Pa/ Samuel Fels).  

While the offense kept the visitors on edge, the defense shut them down completely.The lions only allowed one shot for the game and did not allow the visitors to keep the ball for any length of time during the game.

Controlling the first half the home lions managed to put together nine corner kicks and six shots. But the visitors could not hold on forever and in the second half Harrisburg put up eight shots on net leading to the two goals. With the dominating performance Harrisburg was able to put all 26 players in the game.  

With the win, the Harrisburg improves to a record of 7-2 overall. The Lions are back on the field Saturday when they travel to Buena Vista, Virginia to face Southern Virginia University.
